Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Caregiver
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.63 per hour

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Caregiver, you will learn the skills and coaching techniques to help other adults shape their lives into a picture they once only dreamed of. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Caregiver is responsible for a variety of duties related to the overall care for those who reside in the AmeriServe International Residential Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide transportation to and from activities/appointments.
- Assist in the implementation of individual plans for individuals and behavior plan goals.
- Assist individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preference and individual plans.
- Assist and encourage individuals in the establishment of social networks.
- Promote participation and involvement in community outings.
- Ensure each individuals rights are protected.
- Treat individuals with dignity and respect.
Activities of Daily Living:
- Administer medications to individuals as assigned.
- Observe individuals for changes in behavior or health.
- Ensure individuals are dressed neatly and appropriately and are groomed at all times.
- Assist and encourage individuals to care for immediate personal needs such as toileting, bathing, washing their hands and eating.
- Prepare nutritional meals based on individual needs and preferences.
- Encourage individuals to assist in the preparation of meals and snacks as appropriate to their individual plans and behavior plan.
- Keep residence – both interior and exterior and the resident's personal space clean, organized, and tidy, and encourage them to participate in upkeep as appropriate according to their individual plan.
- Teach individuals daily skills such as household chores, laundry, cleaning, and washing dishes as appropriate according to their individual plan.

Job Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s license
