We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance activities within our manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting efficient production operations.
The ideal candidate will work closely with maintenance leadership, engineers, technicians, and operations teams to ensure maintenance tasks are properly planned, resourced, and executed. This position also plays an important role in maintaining equipment history, managing work orders, and preparing project kits for maintenance technicians so work can be completed efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and communicate scheduled maintenance activities with Maintenance Managers and Engineers.
- Manage and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track equipment history, labor and material costs, and maintenance activities related to facility and production equipment.
- Schedule maintenance and repair work at times that minimize disruption to production operations.
- Ensure maintenance work is properly planned, scheduled, and completed efficiently and on time.
- Coordinate plant outages, long-term maintenance planning, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Work with external contractors to plan and schedule repair and maintenance work as needed.
- Provide technical support and resources to assist in resolving maintenance issues.
- Develop and maintain equipment lists and applicable design criteria codes.
- Conduct timely follow-up on planned maintenance activities to ensure completion and documentation.
- Manage project kits for maintenance technicians by gathering and staging all required parts, tools, materials, and documentation prior to maintenance work.
- Conduct routine plant floor walks to audit maintenance work, GMP compliance, and repair needs.
