This Financial Services Professional role oversees all of the practice's group retirement plans, partnering with our financial advisors to deliver a quality and wholistic experience for our clients.
This individual serves as the practice's dedicated specialist for all group retirement plan services. They are responsible for managing and enhancing our client experience related to retirement plans. This includes 401(k) Plans, Cash Balance Plans, 403(b), Pension, and SIMPLE plans.
The position focuses on client service, planning, participant engagement, compliance support, and operational execution while identifying and pursuing growth opportunities through new plans or participant rollovers.
This individual is expected to maintain high standards of business ethics and stays current on applicable regulations, contribution limits, and industry best practices as applicable to retirement plans.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management:
· Primary contact for plan sponsors and participants
· Participate in review meetings and service check-ins
· Support onboarding of new clients
· Deliver annual education meetings
· Provide ongoing participant guidance
· Create education/communication materials
· Respond to client needs promptly
Administration & Compliance:
· Coordinate with TPAs, custodians, recordkeepers
· Manage contributions, distributions, loans
· Support ERISA, IRS, DOL compliance
· Assist with Form 5500, audits, testing
· Maintain CRM and plan records
· Improve workflows
· Respond to client needs promptly
Consulting:
· Support plan design and strategy for advisors
· Prepare analysis and client materials for client meetings
· Assist advisors in fiduciary discussions & client meetings
Business Development:
· Identify rollover opportunities
· Support new client proposals
· Assist in events and seminars
Qualifications
· 3 years in financial services
· Retirement plan expertise (preferred)
· Licensing (required or willing to obtain):
- SIE, Series 7, Series 66
- State Life, Accident & Health licenses
· Experience with plan sponsors preferred
· Experience with business owners preferred
· ERISA and fiduciary knowledge
· Familiarity with TPAs and financial service platforms
