Associate Advisor Position Overview
Step into a pivotal role in a fast-paced, high-performance financial planning office. As an Associate Advisor, you will directly support senior advisors in delivering a best-in-class client experience, while growing your own skills on the path to becoming a Lead Advisor. This role is ideal for a licensed professional with financial planning knowledge and a strong client service mindset.
The Associate Advisor is responsible for helping manage and enhance client relationships, preparing and implementing financial plans, and uncovering opportunities to better serve our clients. You will attend meetings, assist with strategy execution, and contribute to the overall success of the practice.
Responsibilities
70% – Financial Planning & Client Service
- Attend and support client meetings, helping document next steps and follow-up items
- Prepare and update financial plans, investment reports, and review materials
- Implement trades and insurance solutions as directed by lead advisor
- Proactively communicate with clients to follow up on tasks, answer service questions, and build rapport
- Help identify planning opportunities that improve outcomes and drive growth
30% – Business & Practice Management
- Assist with managing client CRM data, workflows, and compliance documentation
- Track and help execute client service models (e.g., annual reviews, RMDs, milestones)
- Coordinate with internal team members (e.g., paraplanners, client service associates) to ensure seamless delivery
- Contribute to business development efforts as needed

Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2 years of relevant financial services experience
- Series 65 (or 66) and state insurance license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Progress toward CFP® designation strongly preferred
- Experience using financial planning software and CRM systems
