Pay: $17.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience and current skill level

Are you mechanically or electrically inclined? Do you enjoy working with tools, solving problems, and figuring out how machinery works?
Ameripak is looking for a dependable, hands-on person who wants to build a long-term career servicing industrial equipment.
Previous technician experience is helpful, but it is not required. If you have strong mechanical or electrical aptitude and a willingness to learn, our experienced technicians will provide paid, hands-on training.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in automotive repair, manufacturing, maintenance, electrical work, HVAC, welding, construction, agricultural equipment, military mechanical work, or another hands-on field.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
You’ll be trained to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial packaging equipment, including stretch wrappers, conveyors, and related machinery.
Training will include:
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
- Machine installation, setup, and testing
- Motors, belts, rollers, bearings, sensors, switches, and related components
- Reading basic electrical diagrams and equipment manuals
- Safe use of diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Service documentation and professional customer communication
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As your knowledge and skills develop, your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment problems
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance
- Replace worn or damaged machine components
- Assist with equipment installations and start-ups
- Test machinery to confirm safe and reliable operation
- Complete accurate service and repair documentation
- Keep tools, parts, vehicles, and work areas organized
- Follow Ameripak and customer safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Travel occasionally to customer facilities for service work
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The right candidate will have:
- Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude
- A genuine interest in learning how industrial machinery works
- Experience or comfort using hand and power tools
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional attitude when working with customers
- A willingness to accept instruction and continue developing new skills
Previous industrial-equipment service experience is not required. We will train the right person.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work around machinery
- Ability to travel occasionally for customer service calls
- Ability to work safely in industrial and manufacturing environments
