MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Performs routine maintenance of facility and equipment to include, but is not limited to:
- Routine maintenance of building and plant
- Must be able to work well with a team
- Must be able self motivated
- Preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing
- Work on electrical wiring
- Maintain HVAC equipment
- Identify potential safety hazards.
- Painting, repairing, building, or applying materials to building surfaces.
- Respond immediately in the event of an emergency following safety protocol.
- Operate emergency alarm system (as required)
- Use an online work order system.
- Operate complex equipment (as required)
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience with high voltage set up and install
- Experience with PLC controller set up and install
- Advanced understanding of electrical
- Have knowledge of variable frequency drive system install and programming
- Basic understanding of HVAC, Hydraulics
- Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician (preferably in food manufacturing)
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools and other equipment.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
