What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Partnerships & Communications Lead position at AmeriCorps?
Increase food insecure community members and partner awareness of food security resources, application guidelines, and myths. Some programs of note are: The Summer Food Service Program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Women Infant & Children (WIC), Meals on Wheels & congregate feeding sites, area food pantries, etc. - Improve outreach strategies to increase the number of clients seeing information and following through to receive resources. - Increase communication tools for Wake County food security program and enhance awareness of program among county departments, nonprofits, and faith groups. - In partnership with Capital Area Food Network Food Access Circle, host a National Hunger Month event in June 2024, including planning and awareness campaign about Hunger Action Month - Plan the 2024 Youth Food Security Summit.
