What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHENND Fellows: Community Access & Outreach Coord. position at AmeriCorps?
Philadelphia Zoo aspires to be a welcoming and inclusive space for all guests, families and communities that visit. While the Philadelphia Zoo is a milestone class trip and family friendly destination for thousands of children and adults, we strive to ensure all people – especially vulnerable populations – can not only access and visit the Zoo but have an experience on site that matches their needs and abilities. The overall goal of Philadelphia Zoo’s VISTA project is to increase accessibility and visit satisfaction for guests that identify as a part of the autism community and senior citizens. These are two of many vulnerable communities the Zoo wishes to ensure can experience the Zoo in the most accessible way possible.
