The Mission of Southern Arkansas University (SAU) AmeriCorps VISTA is to meet poverty-related needs and create pathways out of poverty as we increase the rate of college degree completion among low-income students and increase civic engagement throughout the Magnolia community. Our project supports anti-poverty efforts in the community and on campus with various partner organizations, providing meaningful civic engagement opportunities to VISTA members, students, and community members.
