What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elevate Atlanta position at AmeriCorps?
Elevate USA provides a relationship-based youth development program designed to support students through five core components: Accredited Classes – Students participate in classes during the school day that focus on life skills, character development, leadership, and personal growth. Transformational Mentoring – Students build meaningful relationships with Teacher-Mentors who provide consistent support, encouragement, and guidance throughout the school year. Adventure Activities – Students participate in experiential learning opportunities that expose them to new environments, build confidence, and encourage teamwork and personal development. College and Career Readiness – Students explore post-secondary pathways through career awareness activities, workforce readiness experiences, college exploration, FAFSA support, scholarship assistance, and goal-setting opportunities. Family Engagement – Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate in events, activities, and communications that strengthen the connection between students, families, schools, and the program. Together, these five components provide students with opportunities to develop positive relationships, explore future possibilities, strengthen life skills, and remain engaged in their education and community.
