We have done commercial projects up to approximately 50 Million dollars. Everything from apartment complexes to city buildings, fire stations, schools, businesses, etc.
This role drives the entire onsite activities. Superintendents are responsible for every carpenter, every subcontractor, and every detail.
Essential Functions: • Quality, quality, quality… Holding ourselves and subcontractors to the highest possible quality. • Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite; this increases jobsite efficiencies and safety. • Over communicating, with the Project Manager, Carpenters, subcontractors, owners, etc. • Ensuring our layout and all subcontractors layouts follow the plans/specifications (and - if there are conflicts, contact the PM to write an RFI). • Assisting the Project Managers with creating schedules and following the schedule dates (ie: calling subcontractors that do not arrive on their scheduled day. Notifying the PM right away). • Receiving material (ensuring material delivered onsite matches what is ordered). • Maintaining onsite safety requirements (Americon Carpenters and subcontractors). • Ensuring all Carpenters show up on time and are on task (with several tasks to perform). • Ensuring all Carpenters are performing tasks the most efficient way possible. • Coordinating with all subcontractors. • Calling subcontractors when they need to arrive onsite per the schedule; notifying the Project Manager when the subcontractor does not arrive onsite on time. • Notifying the Project Manager of any delays, potential delays or risks of delay in schedule. • Reviewing and approving Carpenter’s timecards. • You will have the authority to remove any person from the jobsite at any time for any reason. It is your job site, and you own it. • Most of the time, we receive repeat business based on your performance of qualify, timeliness, and professionalism. Requirements:Job Qualifications: • At least 3-5 years’ experience as a Carpenter or Associate Degree in Carpentry/Construction • At least one year of experience as a Superintendent. Additional leadership experience a plus. • Valid driver’s license Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out-of-the area and overnight travel.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: Work Environment: Typical day will be 9 hours, 4 days plus 4 hrs. on Friday (full time-40hrs/wk). 7am to 430pm Mon-Thurs, Fri 7am to 11am. Work may be outside in the elements or inside depending on the job.
Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
