Job Description:

As an Asphalt Screed Operator at AmeriCoat Asphalt & Concrete, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of asphalt paving projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating and maintaining asphalt paving equipment, with a primary focus on the asphalt screed.
• Collaborating with the paving crew to achieve precise and high-quality finishes on various paving projects.
• Adjusting and controlling the asphalt screed to achieve desired thickness and smoothness of the finished surface.
• Conducting routine equipment inspections and performing basic maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicating effectively with the paving team to coordinate workflow and address any issues that may arise during the paving process.
• Following safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety on the job site.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Asphalt Screed Operator or similar role in the asphalt paving industry.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining asphalt paving equipment, specifically the asphalt screed.
• Ability to read and interpret project specifications, and plans.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.

Additional Requirement:

• Must be flexible and willing to assist with all aspects of the job at any time.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
