Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shop Helper to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations within our manufacturing facility by assisting with assembly, equipment handling, and general shop tasks. Duties
- Assist with the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials and supplies around the facility.
- Support the setup and organization of workstations on the assembly line for smooth production flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor, including storage areas and workbenches.
- Collaborate with team members to complete manufacturing tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and tools, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
- Help with inventory management by receiving, counting, and storing raw materials and finished goods.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a factory or manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with assembly line processes enhances performance in this role.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical equipment required for assembly tasks.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding material handling procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills to support efficient shop operations.
