Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Pizza Counter team member to join our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, operating POS systems, and maintaining a clean and organized work station. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary and food service skills within a dynamic team focused on delivering quality pizza and exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble pizza orders according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Operate Aloha POS and Micros POS systems accurately for order processing, payments, and sales tracking.
• Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, including food handling and sanitation protocols.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing ingredients, assembling pizzas, and restocking supplies.
• Ensure food safety standards are met at all times, adhering to proper food handling procedures.
• Support bussing tables and maintaining a tidy dining environment when needed.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.

Skills

• Experience in food preparation or food industry roles such as quick service or fast food restaurants preferred.
• Proficiency with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and quick calculations during transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with cashiering, upselling, and sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Familiarity with kitchen or café operations is advantageous but not required. This position offers an engaging work environment where team members can grow their skills in food service, customer interaction, and restaurant operations while contributing to a positive dining experience for guests.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
