Description for Material Handler:
- Accurately pull, prepare, and fulfill customer orders using a tape measure to verify precise lengths.
- Bundle, band, wrap, and stage heavy steel products cleanly for outbound shipping.
- Operate or learn to operate overhead cranes to move raw steel materials throughout the facility.
- Execute general production duties, machine support, and warehouse organization as assigned.
- Maintain high situational awareness and strictly follow core plant safety guidelines.
Details for Material Handler:
- Pay Rate: $18.00 / hour (Day Shift) | $19.00 / hour (Swing Shift).
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) OR Swing Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM).
- Location: Lewis County facility (Facility tour required prior to placement).
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire.
Requirements for Material Handler:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math including fractions and decimals.
- Physical capability to handle heavy industrial labor, stand for long periods, bend, push, pull, and lift 50–75 lbs.
- Must pass a 5-panel pre-employment drug screen (THC not permitted) and a hair follicle test upon rollover.
- Background check required (all restrictions reviewed).
- Steel-toe boots required daily. Dress code: Jeans/work pants with T-shirt or hoodie (no shorts).
- Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and reliable personal transportation.
