This is a high-craft opportunity for an experienced fabricator to perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum and specialty metals, fabricate custom jigs, and interpret complex structural prints. Description for Welder:
- Execute high-quality MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and structural metal assemblies to strict quality standards.
- Read, analyze, and interpret complex technical blueprints, fabrication schematics, and standard welding symbols.
- Safely operate hand tools, pneumatic grinders, clamps, measuring devices, and shop metalworking equipment.
- Design, lay out, and construct basic jigs and alignment fixtures to streamline custom production runs.
- Prepare joints, fit parts accurately, and perform post-weld grinding and inspection to ensure structural integrity.\
- Enforce a zero-shortcut safety culture, respecting close arc boundaries and wearing all required welding PPE.
Details for Welder:
- Pay Rate: $25.00 / hour starting base wage (Includes a structured wage raise at 90 days!).
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Consistent full-time day shift with weekends off!).
- Location: Vancouver, WA manufacturing facility.
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire path featuring long-term trade stability.
Requirements for Welder:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of verifiable MIG and TIG welding experience in a fast-paced production setting.
- Must possess hands-on aluminum welding experience.
- Class 8 Welder certification/background preferred.
- Proven print literacy—must be able to read blueprints and understand standard welding symbols cleanly.
- Must be able to pass a standard hands-on pre-employment weld test prior to placement.
- Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and reliable personal transportation habits.
