American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier regional commercial flooring contractor to hire full-time, skilled and entry-level Commercial Flooring Installers.

TIERED PAY STRUCTURE FROM $20.00 UP TO $29.00/HOUR WITH A STEADY MONDAY–FRIDAY ROUTINE! In this active field role, you will install high-durability floor coverings across commercial developments, corporate offices, restaurants, retail builds, and civic facilities. You will work across diverse materials—including luxury vinyl tile/plank (LVT/LVP), commercial sheet vinyl, carpet tile, broadloom, laminate, hardwood, rubber base, ceramic tile, and cementitious underlayments. We offer a transparent, tiered compensation structure: $20.00 – $24.00/hour for motivated entry-level candidates ready to learn, and $25.00 – $29.00/hour for experienced tradespeople with 2 years of verified installation background. • Inspect, measure, and meticulously prepare subfloor surfaces prior to installation; verify moisture levels, flatness tolerances, and structural integrity.
• Remediate subfloor irregularities: sweep, scrape, grind, chip, sand, and apply cementitious self-leveling underlayments, patches, and skim coats to achieve smooth, flat foundations.
• Accurately measure project square footage, review blueprints/shop drawings, and confer with Project Managers and Site Superintendents on layouts, transitions, and pattern orientation.
• Precision cut, scribe, fit, and install a broad range of commercial flooring materials: LVT/LVP, sheet vinyl, linoleum, rubber sports/commercial flooring, carpet tile, broadloom, wood, laminate, and tile.
• Mix and apply specialized commercial adhesives, thin-sets, primers, and mortars according to manufacturer open-time and spread-rate specifications.
• Install transition strips, stair treads, nosings, reducers, and commercial cove base/rubber baseboards.
• Coordinate closely with general contractors, carpenters, electricians, architects, and other trades on active jobsites to meet project milestones.
• Conduct thorough post-installation quality checks: clean adhesive residue, inspect for surface flaws, roll seams, replace defective tiles/planks, and leave client spaces punch-list ready.
• Maintain clean, hazard-free jobsites and adhere strictly to all OSHA standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

• Pay Rate (Tiered by Experience):
• Entry-Level / Trade Trainee: $20.00 – $24.00 / hour (Strong mechanical aptitude, construction/remodeling background, and eagerness to master the trade).
• Experienced Installer (2 Years): $25.00 – $29.00 / hour (Demonstrated commercial flooring, seam cutting, and subfloor prep background / DOE).
• Schedule: Full-Time Monday – Friday (Guaranteed weekday routine with weekends completely OFF!).
• Shift: Full-Time Day Shift (Jobsite start times align with commercial construction schedules).
• Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire career pathway with permanent placement review.

• Experience Level:
• For $25–$29/hr: Minimum of 2 years of verified commercial/residential flooring installation or finish carpentry experience.
• For $20–$24/hr: Baseline construction, demolition, drywall, or hands-on trade experience with high coachability.
• Tool & Prep Proficiency: Familiarity with flooring hand tools, utility knives, trowels, rollers, jamb saws, laser levels, and mixing drills.
• Physical Capabilities: High-stamina role requiring continuous kneeling, bending, stooping, floor-level reaching, and lifting/carrying boxes of tile and rolls up to 75 lbs.
• Licensing & Mobility: Valid Driver's License and dependable personal transportation to travel reliably to commercial jobsites throughout the region.
• Strong tape-measure reading skills, basic layout math, and sharp attention to detail.
• Exceptional history of daily attendance, jobsite punctuality, and collaborative teamwork.
