Description for Diesel Mechanic:
- Perform general repairs and complex preventative maintenance on log trucks and logging machinery.
- Execute high-level asset overhauls, including rebuilding bearings and servicing drive lines.
- Safely operate overhead cranes, industrial forklifts, gas cutting torches, and welding equipment.
- Utilize diverse hand and power tools to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Maintain meticulous daily service documentation and keep shop bays organized and clean.
Details for Diesel Mechanic:
- Pay Rate: $30.00 / hour.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Steady 10-hour shifts with premium overtime).
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire.
Requirements for Diesel Mechanic:
- 2 years of verifiable technical experience matching diesel or heavy machine repair fields required.
- Proven ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot diverse mechanical and fluid power systems.
- Hands-on comfort with welding fabrication, cutting torches, and heavy material-handling lifts.
- A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is highly valued but not required.
- Exceptional daily attendance record, reliable transportation, and a safety-first mindset.
