Job Description:
The SPL Specialist reports directly to the SP2NC Manager. Provides oversight to the warehouse associates performing special projects and labeling functions. The SPL Specialist performs all functions including but not limited to inventory management, label printing, coordinating special projects and other duties as assigned. The SPL Lead demonstrates behavior that supports AWBC core values.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supervises SPL warehouse associates as they perform their duties.
- Movement of Inventory.
- Add or remove labels from product as assigned.
- Ensure warehouse inventory accuracy
- Maintain various excel spreadsheets and daily reporting.
- Responsible for following all safety rules, regulations and guidelines.
- Load and unload trucks
- Helping with 2NC projects as directed
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Prior experience using radio-frequency scanner preferred.
- Previous forklift experience/certification preferred or willingness to become certified.
- Ability to make on the spot decisions based on training and experience.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Computer Skills – Microsoft office, specifically Excel and AS400 experience preferred.
- Ability to take direction and work unsupervised.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Communicate using speech, sight, and sound with or without assistive device.
- Read and write legibly. Including very small print.
- Walking short distances through the department/building.
- Use hands/arms to operate required equipment and repetitive motion activities.
- Lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Communicate using speech, sight, and sound with or without assistive device.
- Bend, stoop or crouch while performing daily activities of the job.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills.
Must be able to work in variable work locations.
