What are the responsibilities and job description for the Returns Dock Associate 1 position at American Wholesale Book Company, LLC?
The Returns Dock associate reports directly to the Returns Manager. Responsible for all shipping/receiving on the dock. The Returns dock associate must be able to perform all returns functions including but not limited to: Processing returns, scanning, counting, moving product, shipping product, unloading truck trailers and reporting. The Returns Dock Associate demonstrates behavior that supports AWBC core values.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Unload Trailers.
- Load Trailers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- PIT certified or willing to become PIT certified.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Continuously stand up to 4 hours.
- Walk between 4-6 miles a day. Walking short distances through the department/building.
- Use hands/arms to pick and carry product and operate required equipment.
- Lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Speak in English with or without an assistive device.
- Hear with or without an assistive device.
- Read and write legibly. Including very small print.
- Accurately identify the correct items from their correct location.
