Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced collision-style welder who understands repair, alignment, fitment, and finish on semi-trucks and trailers. This role is ideal for someone who has worked in truck collision, body repair, or heavy-duty repair shops and knows how to make repairs look right—not just hold.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG/TIG welding on steel and aluminum for collision repairs
- Straighten, fit, and repair damaged truck and trailer components
- Repair fenders, steps, boxes, brackets, frames, and trailer structures
- Prep, grind, blend, and finish repairs for proper appearance and strength
- Weld and repair aluminum diesel tanks, including cracks and damaged sections
- Fabricate replacement parts when OEM components are not available
- Read basic drawings or follow verbal repair instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized work area

Required Qualifications
- 3 years experience in collision welding, fabrication, or heavy-duty repair
- Strong MIG aluminum welding skills, especially on used diesel tanks
- Experience with fitment, alignment, and finish work
- Ability to weld in multiple positions
- Solid mechanical understanding of semi-trucks and trailers
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work full-time in a shop environment
- Takes pride in clean repairs and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in truck or trailer collision repair
- Ability to fabricate and repair without step-by-step supervision
- Experience repairing cracked aluminum tanks, sides, and belly sections
- Own welding hood and basic hand tools (shop provides equipment)

Pay
$22–$26 per hour, based on experience
