About Us
WeldNative is a structural steel fabrication and erection subcontractor serving commercial and residential projects across the Denver metro. Our work spans structural steel fabrication and erection, miscellaneous metals, and ornamental/architectural metalwork.
The Role
We're looking for a versatile welder/fabricator who can work both in the shop and in the field. The bulk of our work is structural fabrication and erection, but you'll also be building and installing miscellaneous and architectural metals — stairs, rails, canopies, and custom feature work. This isn't a repetitive production job. If you like variety and take pride in tight fit-ups and clean welds, this is a good fit.
What You'll Do
- Weld structural and miscellaneous steel (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW) in all positions
- Read and interpret shop drawings, erection plans, and structural details
- Lay out, cut, fit, and fabricate beams, columns, embeds, stairs, rails, and misc. metals
- Fabricate architectural/ornamental work where finish quality and appearance matter
- Erect structural steel and install misc. and architectural metals on active jobsites
- Operate torch, plasma, band saw, ironworker, drill press, and grinders
- Work from a tape and square — accurate layout is critical
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow site safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- 3 years welding and fabrication experience (structural preferred)
- Proficient reading shop drawings and structural prints
- Strong fit-up and layout skills
- Ability to produce clean, presentable welds on exposed architectural work
- Comfortable working both shop and field
- Able to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and work outdoors in all conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Own hand tools, including an angle grinder (we provide all PPE)
- OSHA 10 and current AWS D1.1 certification a plus (or ability to test)
Schedule
35–60 hours per week depending on workload. Overtime available and paid.
Compensation & Benefits
- $25.00–$38.00/hr, depending on experience
