What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager with Ground Water position at American Unit, Inc?
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete hydrogeological project evaluations using ePermitting and related tools
- Review groundwater monitoring plans, closure plans, and land application projects
- Maintain groundwater data systems and project tracking tools
- Provide written recommendations to Permit Engineers
- Coordinate with enforcement, permitting, and other SCDES personnel
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership
- Communicate with public, industrial, and agricultural representatives
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Master’s degree in Hydrology, Geology, or Geological Engineering with 1 year of related experience
- OR
- Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with 2 years of related experience
- Completion of ePermitting Power User training or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of groundwater hydrogeology, geochemistry, and contaminant transport
- Understanding of project management principles and methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience with hydrogeological reviews and groundwater monitoring
- 5 years managing databases and using geospatial software
- Experience with federal and state groundwater/wastewater permitting and compliance
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
