Key Responsibilities:
• Review, update, and maintain documentation related to claims processing and EDI transactions.
• Identify undocumented claims processing workflows and create supporting documentation.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) during the ACAPS system modernization initiative.
• Act as liaison between technical teams and Children’s Health Services programs.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Test new and existing systems.
• Ensure accurate EDI file exchanges with trading partners.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transmission issues.
• Provide support for healthcare providers interacting with IDOH systems.
• Assist with onboarding new providers and clearinghouses.
• Work independently and collaborate with external partners as needed.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 years of Database experience.
• 5 years of experience with EDI transaction sets:
- 837 Healthcare Claims
- 835 Remittance Advice
- 210 Transportation Invoice (or related EDI formats)
- • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations.
- • Experience troubleshooting complex EDI and claims processing issues.
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly Desired Skills:
• Healthcare or Health Industry experience.
• IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX) experience.
• Strong SQL and Database development experience.
• Experience supporting healthcare claims processing systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare provider and clearinghouse integrations.
