Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for an outpatient Perinatal Diagnostic Program, requiring 2 years OB/GYN sonography experience and RDMS (OB/GYN) certification.
Details
- Outpatient high-risk maternity clinic specializing in obstetric and gynecologic imaging
- Perinatal Diagnostic Program with 6 exam rooms/suites
- Serves obstetric (low and high risk) and gynecology patients of all age groups
- Average patient volume of 8 to 10 patients per sonographer daily
- Uses Epic (Radiant) EMR
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shift, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Fridays 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM)
- No weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements
- No rotation or self-scheduling
- 3 days of unit orientation provided
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience
- Minimum 2 years OB/GYN sonography experience
- RDMS Certification (OB/GYN) required
- Fetal Echo Certification preferred but not required
- License required if applicable
- Comfortable working in a busy maternal-fetal medicine environment
- Must be able to work with patients of all age groups
Additional Information
- Perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound imaging in a high-risk maternity outpatient setting
- Unit manager interview required, with an additional interview by the MFM provider
- Gray scrubs required, closed-toe non-permeable shoes, minimal jewelry, professional hair/beard grooming, and minimal nail polish with no chipping
- Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening may take up to 14 business days to process
- Seasonal influenza vaccination required, with medical exemption requests allowed for the 2026-2027 season via completed exemption form
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role

- Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility, with a radius rate also available
- Requested time off should be disclosed at time of consideration, as approval afterward is not guaranteed
