Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry Unit position requiring a minimum of 3 years of telemetry experience and a current NH or Compact RN license.
Details
- 12-hour night shifts in a hospital Telemetry Care Unit
- Telemetry patient population including post-cath, cardiac procedure, and stroke patients
- Experience with TR band management, post-cath care, hemostasis management, and stroke assessment
- Floating may be required to ED hold and ICU/PCU within the same facility, as well as to sister facilities in Laconia and Franklin, NH
- No on-call responsibilities
- Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license (not a temp license) required at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
- Minimum 3 years of telemetry nursing experience required
- Experience managing TR band, post-cath or cardiac procedures, and hemostasis preferred
- Must pass an advanced Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a minimum score of 80%
- Driver's license with address matching demographics on file required
- NURSYS license verification for all active RN licenses required
- 3 professional references required upon commitment (2 must be from leadership)
Additional Information
- Weekly orientation provided upon start
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
- Former permanent staff are eligible to return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
