Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a cardiac-focused step-down unit in Clyde, NC, requiring at least 2 years of step-down or ICU experience and an active NC or compact RN license.
Details
- Work on the 4th floor Progressive Care Step-down Unit of a 154-bed, Joint Commission Accredited hospital located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville
- 22-bed cardiac specialty unit serving adult patients, including cardiac observation, post-cardiac cath lab patients, and cardioversion cases
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Telemetry monitoring equipment used throughout the unit
- EMR: Paragon
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum education required
- Step-down or ICU experience required
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
- Scrub color: Navy; offensive tattoos and non-facility tops are not acceptable
- Orientation is held bi-weekly
- Team-oriented candidates with strong communication skills and flexibility are preferred
- The facility is located near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with easy access to Asheville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, and Greenville
