Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Psychiatric RN for a Behavioral Health night shift position requiring 2 years of current psych experience and KY or compact licensure.
Details
- Behavioral Health unit setting
- Night shift schedule (3x12 and 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
- Rotating 36/48 schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Floating required within scope of practice
- Every other weekend required
- Blocked schedules cannot be accommodated
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or Compact) in hand required
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and CPI
- Minimum 2 years of current psychiatric nursing experience required
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- 2 professional references required: 1 Charge or Higher and 1 Supervisor, both completed within the last year
- Flu vaccine required with medical and religious exemptions considered case by case
Additional Information
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
- Bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Up to 7 days of RTO considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted
- Must work either a major or minor holiday during assignment
- Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after one year before being eligible to return
- Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not share the same shift or unit
