Description
American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a night shift MS/Tele unit requiring 2 years of experience and EPIC proficiency.
Details
- Work on a Behavioral Health/MS/Tele unit in a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- 13-week assignment on night shift (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
- Patient ratios of 1:5-6
- Requires taking an EKG exam as part of clinical readiness
- Weekend rotation required every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within scope of practice to like units or sister campus depending on booking
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC state or compact) currently in hand, no pending licenses accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide behavioral health nursing care within an MS/Tele unit setting
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
- Returning travelers must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning to this facility
- Extension limits apply: day shift travelers may extend once, night shift travelers may extend up to twice, after which a 6-month break is required before reapplying
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days and is subject to manager's discretion
- Only 1 holiday can be approved for time off
- Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white
