Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 3 years of main hospital OR experience and NC or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Community hospital Operating Room setting with 1:1 staffing ratio
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (40 hours/week)
- On-call requirement including nights, weekends, and holidays, typically one night per week
- 2-3 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- Uses Meditech charting system
- Wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, ENT, thoracic, vascular, neurology, and robotics
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of main hospital OR experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Meditech charting system experience required
- Skilled in perioperative patient assessment and individualized care planning
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing patients upon admission to the OR, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs
- Continuously reassesses patients and develops individualized intraoperative nursing care plans
- Candidates will be reviewed and interviewed by the hiring manager
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
- RTO must be disclosed at time of submission for consideration (maximum of 5 days, subject to manager approval)
