Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a Critical Access Hospital position in Alaska requiring an active AK RN license and the flexibility to float between Med/Surg, ED, and ICU.
Details
- Critical Access Hospital setting caring for Med/Surg patients including adult, mother/baby, ortho, and pediatric populations
- 13-week contract assignment
- Schedule includes both Day and Night shifts on a flexible, as-needed basis
- Must be willing to float between Med/Surg, ED, and ICU as required
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be willing to work both Day and Night shifts as necessary
- Must obtain flu vaccine
Additional Information
- Coordinates and performs a variety of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages, exercising independent clinical judgment
- Responsible for proper delegation and supervision of CNA/Tech staff
- Assists in the orientation of new staff, travelers, and students
- May serve as Contact RN leading assigned RNs and CNAs during shift
- No RTO granted during the first 13-week contract
- Start date will be no less than 6 weeks after fingerprint cards are received and processed
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
