Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at a hospital in Portland, ME, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active ME or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a 29-bed Med/Surg unit (P3CD) within a hospital setting in Portland, ME
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
- 36 hours per week
- Floating required on an as-needed basis, with a 25-mile float policy between facilities
- EMR: Epic
- Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit
Requirements
- Active ME or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
- Driver's License required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include daily physical assessments, medication administration, care planning, patient education, and clinical documentation
- Advocates for patient safety and well-being, with a focus on managing chronic illness and disability needs
- Any color scrubs are acceptable; fragrance-free attire is required
- Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may be subject to a different bill rate; local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
- Travel pairs or groups are not permitted for this position
