Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ambulatory Outpatient Allergy/Immunology position in the greater Milwaukee, WI area, requiring clinic experience and the ability to float across multiple clinic locations.
Details
- Outpatient ambulatory clinic setting serving adult and pediatric patients across multiple clinic locations in the greater Milwaukee area
- Patient population includes allergy, immunology, asthma/pulmonary, food allergies, seasonal allergies, and drug allergies
- Average daily census of 16–24 patients across roughly 4–5 exam rooms per site
- Assigned to a specific provider with floating to other clinic locations as needed
- Schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 10-hour day shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break)
- Standard 32 hours per week
- No weekend rotation and no on-call or call-back requirements
- No holiday coverage required
- EMR: Epic Ambulatory (preferred, not required)
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of clinic setting experience required; allergy clinic experience highly preferred
- Most recent experience must be within the last year
- Comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patient populations
- Proficiency in triage and phone triage, patient rooming, injections, vital signs, medication and history review, allergy reviews, allergy questionnaires, and medication refill management
- IV skills and spirometry experience preferred
- Strong soft skills including flexibility, adaptability, and comfort in a fast-paced clinic environment
- At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the last year required for consideration
- Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Candidate's middle name or initial required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidate will be assigned to a specific provider and may float to other clinic locations within the territory as needed
- Team includes 4 providers, 3–4 RNs per clinic per day, and patient service reps at the front desk
- Manager/Supervisor is available daily via Teams and floats through each clinic; site leadership is also present
- Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) plus approximately 1 week of unit orientation, with potential for additional time based on skillset
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved during the contract
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Free parking is available in designated employee areas

- Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
