Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg position requiring 1 years of experience and a VA or compact RN license, with night shift hours at an academic community hospital.
Details
- Work on a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit within an academic community hospital
- Patient population includes all ages
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Uses Meditech EHR
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required, as needed
- On-call responsibilities as needed
- Floating required as needed
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and HWC (available on-site)
- 1 years of RN experience required
- 2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred
- AHA certifications required
Additional Information
- Provide Med/Surg nursing care across a diverse patient population in a 250-bed academic community hospital
- Facility is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
- Professional demeanor expected on the unit
- Scrubs of any color accepted; casual wear not permitted
- Must consent to random drug screening and complete a criminal questionnaire
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
