Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Med/Surg Telemetry night shift travel contract requiring an active NC or compact RN license and ACLS certification.
Details
- Work on a 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedic cases
- May care for IMCU patients based on census needs
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekends and holidays required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating to units of like or lesser acuity may be required
- Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license — NC or compact license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CPI
- Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience
- Proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips required
- Must provide two professional references for consideration
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- License must be free of restrictions or disciplinary actions
Additional Information
- Unit team consists of RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNA/Unit Secretaries
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- No RTO will be honored for Easter or Memorial Day weekend
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront to be considered at time of offer
