Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and NC or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Assignments involves MS/Tele unit with behavioral health patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within scope to sister units or campuses depending on booking
- EPIC charting system used
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC state or compact) currently in hand - pending licenses not accepted
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance for this specialty
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Work within a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
- Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the main campus to be eligible for consideration
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days, with only 1 holiday approved, subject to manager discretion
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Previous employees must have been gone for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
- Extensions limited to once for day shift and twice for night shift, with a 6-month wait period before reapplying afterward
- Vaccine exemption requests must be submitted promptly to avoid start delays
