Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Acute Med/Surg Telemetry position in Alamogordo, NM, requiring at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience and an NM or compact RN license.
Details
- Acute Med/Surgical unit in a hospital setting
- Telemetry and general med/surg patient population
- Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM
- 13-week contract
- Floating required to BMed, Ortho, and PCU units
Requirements
- Active RN license in NM or via compact licensure
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
- BSN preferred
- A US Social Security Number is required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
- Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education
- Makes appropriate care assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed
- Candidates who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS Health facility in a non-travel capacity must have been separated for at least 6 months before being considered for a travel assignment
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
