Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Orthopedics RN with at least 2 years of experience and an OK or compact RN license for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Details
- 30-bed ortho/spine unit with medical overflow
- Patient ratios of 1:5-6
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45am-7:15pm)
- Every other weekend requirement
- Floating required within scope to like units, with brief unit orientation provided
- Uses EPIC documentation system
Requirements
- Active OK or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience with ortho trauma, total joint replacement, and pre/post neurosurgery care preferred
- Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, wound care, and telemetry monitoring preferred
Additional Information
- Care for orthopedic and spine patients, including total joint replacement and trauma cases, with some medical overflow patients
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- Navy scrub color required
- Must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
