Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Chemotherapy Infusion unit position requiring OCN Chemo/Immunotherapy certification and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in an Oncology Chemotherapy Infusion unit within a hospital setting
- Shift schedule of 4x10s, 40 hours per week, 0730-1800
- No on-call responsibilities required
- May float in rotation, including serving as a sitter when needed
Requirements
- Active WA State or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- OCN Chemo/Immunotherapy certification required and must be maintained
Additional Information
- Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
- Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
- Accurately document assessments, care provided, interventions, and patient responses
- Perform holistic, ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Teach patients and families relevant health information in a timely manner
- Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff per hospital and unit policies
