Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and cross-unit coverage across L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with rotation across Postpartum and Nursery
- Level 1 acute care setting
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM on a rotating 36/48 schedule (alternating 3x12 and 4x12 weeks)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within scope of practice
- Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Meditech EMR in use
Requirements
- Active RN license — KY state or compact license currently in hand required; no exceptions
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience in a level 1 acute care setting
- Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery required
- Driver's license with address matching permanent residence required for consideration
- Two professional references required: at least one charge nurse or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year
- Middle name required (confirmation needed if none exists)
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Must be willing and able to work the rotating 84-hour/two-week schedule; inability to accept this schedule may result in cancellation
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; all RTO must be submitted upfront and no changes will be accepted after acceptance
- Must work at least one major or one minor holiday during the assignment
- Travelers who have worked within the ARH system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
- Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly basis
- Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
- Any license hits or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
