Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 5 years of L&D experience and rotating night shifts on a 36/48 schedule.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting, working across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a on a rotating 36/48 schedule (alternating 3x12 and 4x12 weeks)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within scope of practice
- Meditech EMR in use
- Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
Requirements
- Active KY RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
- Minimum 5 years of current, recent L&D experience in an acute care setting
- Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery required
- Driver's license with address matching permanent address required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: at least 1 Charge Nurse or higher and 1 supervisor, both completed within the past year
- Middle name required (or confirmation that no middle name exists)
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted
- Must be willing and able to work either a major or minor holiday each holiday period
- Travelers who have worked within the system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
- Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
- Any license discrepancies or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
