Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and active travel history.
Details
- Critical Access Hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Handles high-risk and vaginal deliveries, forceps/vacuum-assisted deliveries, C-sections, neonatal and newborn care, postpartum care, pain management, and surgical cases including cervical cerclage
- Skills include sterile speculum exams, NSTs, reflex checks, sterile vaginal exams, EFM, external fetal monitoring, IV placement, and medication administration
- EMR: Centricity (preferred)
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
- Every third weekend required
- Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis by manager
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active KS or Compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Position is at a Critical Access Hospital; candidate must be able to jump in independently after the second shift
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restriction applies
- August start date strongly preferred; a late July start may be considered
