Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of critical care experience and a 1:2 patient ratio.
Details
- Work in the ICU/CCU setting
- 1:2 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule (3x12, 18:00-6:00)
- Labor Day and weekend rotation required
- Floating within scope as needed to meet facility needs
- Meditech Expanse EMR used, experience strongly preferred
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required in-hand prior to start
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- PALS, CCRN, CMSRN, or RN-BC preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory care
- Experience managing vasoactive and cardiac drips
- Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including those with multisystem organ dysfunction
- Call-outs permitted only if more than a week's notice is given
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within an 80-mile radius
- First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
