Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active ACLS certification, with 12-hour night shifts and weekend availability.
Details
- Work in a 7-bed ICU within a hospital setting
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1, with 1:1 ratios as needed
- 12-hour night shifts with weekend requirements
- Floating required to MedSurg and other departments within scope of competency
- Equipment used includes Liberty Peritoneal Dialysis Cycler, Philips monitors, Alaris IV pumps, NICOM (Non-Invasive Cardiac Output Monitor), and Omnicell medication dispensing
- Charting is done in Meditech
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- 2 current references required: 1 from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 from a peer or supervisor in the specialty within the last 3 years
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, evaluating care effectiveness, and coordinating nursing services
- Candidates will not be asked to perform tasks outside their scope of competency when floating
- Professional nursing dress code required
