Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring at least one year of acute care experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- 12-hour night shift schedule (19:00-07:30)
- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Cares for patients requiring telemetry monitoring within the ED
Requirements
- Active IL RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS and/or ENPC
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation competency required
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting
- ER setting experience preferred
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
- BSN preferred
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Directs and guides patient and family teaching along with activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
- Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical condition, including diagnostic study results
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
- Knowledgeable of EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and hospital social worker
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Accepts local candidates
