Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab position requiring at least 3 years of Cath Lab experience and WV or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab within an acute care hospital setting
- Unit features a Structural Heart Program and operates 2 procedure rooms
- Handles approximately 50 cases per week
- Uses Allscripts EMR and Witt monitoring systems
- Schedule is Monday-Friday, 4x10-hour shifts from 0700-1730
- On-call responsibilities include nights (1730-0700) and weekend coverage (Friday-Sunday)
- Call rotation is typically 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend per month
- Covers STEMI call during the week and on weekends through a rotation
- Potentially scheduled for holidays if any fall during the assignment
Requirements
- Active WV or compact RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN not required for this position
- RNs are not permitted to scrub in per WV state law
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab setting with structural heart procedures
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify as a traveler
- Any licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Assignment is 13 weeks with possible extension
- Travelers who previously worked at this facility must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
- Travelers are not permitted to work within the WVU Medicine system for longer than a cumulative year without taking a 2-year break
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
