Description
American Traveler is seeking a Home Health PTA with at least 1 year of skilled home health experience and active BLS certification for a day-shift contract covering West Portland, OR and surrounding areas.
Details
- Home health setting serving West Portland, OR and surrounding areas
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00–16:30); 4x10 and 3x12 schedules cannot be accommodated
- Caseload of up to 6 patients per day with a standard productivity expectation of 30 points
- Charting is done via Epic Remote Client for Home Health (on laptop) and Rover (phone app); Epic experience required
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- No floating between units within the assignment
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates within a 50–75 mile radius of the facility are considered local and may be accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active PTA license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
- Experience with OASIS documentation required
- Reliable personal transportation required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
- Primary COVID-19 vaccination series plus one booster required
Additional Information
- Patient population includes neurological conditions (MS, Parkinson's, TBI, spinal cord injury, post-stroke), orthopedic cases (total hip/knee replacements, hip fractures, post-op cervical, shoulder, and spinal surgeries), and cognitive disorders
- Equipment experience includes standard and rolling walkers, gait belts, crutches, shoulder slings, and upper/lower extremity prosthetics
- The system groups clients geographically to minimize drive time; occasional daily travel radius of up to approximately 60 miles (60–90 minutes total drive time) is possible
- Business casual attire required; scrubs are allowed but not required and no specific color is mandated; jeans are not permitted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the submitting facility
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- RTO is expected to be minimal; a few days may be approved but excessive RTO requests may impact the hiring process
- Candidates who have previously worked at a Providence facility in any capacity (travel, per diem, or permanent) should be prepared to disclose the location and dates of that employment
