Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1 year of PT experience with LTC or SNF background.
Details
- Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting within the Physical Therapy unit
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
- New grads accepted if they completed a Level II clinical (Level I observation experience does not qualify)
- LTC or Rehab/SNF setting experience required
- OK State PT license required if applicable
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- Compact license not accepted
Additional Information
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
- Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Administer manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care as needed
- Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
- Communicate with supervisors and healthcare team members on patient progress and treatment plans
- Complete documentation, discharge summaries, and treatment minutes in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings
- Supervise physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and/or students as needed
- Adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts throughout professional practice
- Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed during the assignment
