Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract at a medical center in Colorado, working Monday through Friday in a multi-setting rehabilitation role.
Details
- Works across multiple care settings including inpatient, outpatient, and swing beds
- Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional weekend coverage required for inpatient and swing bed evaluations
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
- Current Colorado PT license required (license required if applicable)
- Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment and provide hands-on patient care
- Ability to lift, move, and maneuver patients and equipment of 20 lbs, with or without assistance
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently across varied patient populations
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment, reassessment, and documentation for a diverse patient population including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients
- Maintains patient records including progress reports, daily notes, and special reports
- Responsible for supervision and instruction of Physical Therapist Assistants, supportive staff, volunteers, and students
- Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Department Manager
- Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and potential for extended hours based on patient need
