American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with inpatient rehab and/or hospital experience for a 13-week day shift contract in San Antonio, TX.
Details- Inpatient rehabilitation setting within a large acute care hospital network in San Antonio, TX
- Physical Therapy unit serving neuro and orthopedic patient populations, as well as acute care patients including Ortho, Tele, and ICU
- Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- Requires two weekend shifts per month, with a corresponding weekday off
- Floating to other units is required per facility floating policy
- Call requirements to be discussed during interview
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Active OT license required — temporary licenses are not accepted; license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred in rehab and/or acute hospital setting
- Inpatient rehab and/or hospital experience is required
- Must have active clinical experience within the last 6 months in the role being applied for
- SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs not accepted
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Perform inpatient rehab OT evaluations and treatments for neuro and orthopedic patients, as well as acute care evaluations and treatments across Ortho, Tele, and ICU
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred
- NDT or brain injury certifications are preferred
- Sage green/olive scrub top, black scrub pants, and sage green scrub jacket required; white or black undershirts only
- Neat, natural-looking hair and clean nails required; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited; body art should be covered whenever possible
- Candidates must adhere to facility attendance policies and sign a Methodist Acknowledgement Form
