Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care hospital setting, requiring CNMT or ARRT (NM) certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in a Nuclear Medicine unit
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with no weekends, evenings, or call required
- Allscripts EMR in use at this facility
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- CNMT certification via NMTCB, or ARRT registration with NM certification
- Maine State Radiologic Technologist license for Nuclear Medicine required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Experience with nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in an acute care setting
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures, and obtaining patient cooperation prior to imaging
- Orders, prepares, administers, stores, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals and medications in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards
- Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, implements safety standards, and performs quality control procedures on equipment
- Positions patients, performs imaging procedures, analyzes image quality, and enters and transmits scan results
- Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions as needed
